Shinay meditation, also known as “calm abiding” is a Tibetan Buddhist mindfulness practice focused on cultivating a stable and focused mind. Practitioners aim for single-pointed concentration by directing attention to a chosen object, like the breath. The practice involves maintaining awareness and gently redirecting the mind from distractions. Valued for calming the mind, enhancing focus, and promoting inner peace, Shinay is a foundational practice in Tibetan Buddhism.
